BLACK HILLS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA 2010-2011 AUDITIONS Tuesday evening, September 9, 2010 7:00 pm Central High School Music Area AUDITION REQUIREMENTS Eligibility – High School (grades 9-12) through adult. Students must be a member of a school orchestra or band. Requited audition materials: 1. Solo or etude of the player's choice 2. Sight reading An evaluation of the player's tone quality on all materials will be a part of the overall score. The etude or solo should be of a level that shows the technical skills that are required to perform standard orchestral literature.
