Audition Requirements
Eligibility – High School (grades 9-12) through adult.
Students must be a member of a school orchestra or band. High school students must audition every year.
Adult Former BHSO Members: you will be asked to re-audition if it has been more than a single season since you played regularly with BHSO.
Applicants should be prepared to:
- Play a solo or etude of their choice
- Sight-read orchestral literature
An evaluation of the player's tone quality on all materials will be a part of the overall score. The Solo or Etude should be of a level that shows the technical skills that are required to perform standard orchestral literature.
